𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹 has recently launched a Job Seeker Visa. This Visa has been introduced to cover the labor shortage in the country and will be issued at the Portuguese consulate abroad. The validity of the Visa is 120 days, additionally extended to 60 days concerning an able living permit subject to a legitimate valid employment contract after entering the country.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 and experiences highlighted yet. This visa program offers the privilege of requesting a residence permit after a working relationship has been set up and standardized during that period.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲d if the person has not accepted an entry limitation into the country or another Member State of the European Union (EU).

𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, the applicant can only search for job opportunities in Portugal, not jobs in other Schengen countries.

𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 be able to enter Portuguese territory once, so it will not be possible to travel abroad during the initial 120 days or the remaining 60 days if an extension is requested.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 if the candidate cannot sign an employment contract within the first available deadline.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗱 to invite the family under family reunification once he accepts a successful occupation and residence permit in the country.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 procedures for making a Tax Identification Number (NIF), which will be automatically assigned in the registration for Social Security and the request for the access number to the public health system, called the NSS number.
